About
Hello, I’m Emily, a ceramic artist based in Oxfordshire. My love for pottery began many years ago in school art classes, where I first discovered the joy of working with clay. After a long break, I returned to ceramics in 2019 by enrolling in a few refresher classes—and from the very first session, I was completely hooked. Soon after, I invested in a secondhand wheel and kiln and began creating from my own space at home.
Today, I work exclusively from my garden studio, where I handcraft small-batch ceramics with a focus on pieces for the home and garden. I’m best known for my ceramic flowers—each one carefully sculpted and glazed by hand. These everlasting blooms are designed to bring a little colour and charm to any space, whether displayed in a vase or planted among real flowers in the garden.
Every item I make is created slowly and thoughtfully, using traditional techniques. I’m largely self-taught and continue to learn through hands-on practice and experimentation. My work is inspired by nature, seasonal shifts, and the joy of simple, functional design.
Outside the studio, I’m married with three children, two energetic dogs, and a tortoise who often keeps me company while I work. I also work part-time as a nursing assistant on a busy children’s ward—something I find incredibly fulfilling alongside my creative work.
Thank you so much for visiting. If you have any questions or would like to know more about my work, feel free to contact me.
